Marketplace Roundup: Borussia Dortmund Extends Partnership With Hankook

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund "has reportedly extended its deal with South Korean tire company Hankook." The company agreed to a new two-year deal through '16-17. Hankook will remain a second-tier, Champion Partner of the club and pays an estimated €1.2M ($1.35M) annually (SPONSORs, 6/9). ... Second Bundesliga side SC Freiburg has extended its partnership with Südwestbank for another two years until the end of the '16-17 season. The company will pay a base amount of €150,000 ($169,000) per year (SPONSORs, 6/9). ... EPL side Aston Villa announced Intuit QuickBooks as the main club sponsor for the next two seasons. Intuit QuickBooks is accounting software for small businesses and the company's logo will feature on the club's home and away shirts during the '15-16 and '16-17 campaigns. The new home and away kits will be unveiled in early July (Aston Villa). ... Borussia Dortmund's primary sponsor Evonik has announced that it will also "sponsor the club's summer tour of Asia at the start of July." Dortmund "will play fixtures in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore" on July 6-11. Evonik is both Dortmund’s main sponsor and the "holder of the naming rights to the Evonik Soccer School in Japan," a training center run by Dortmund to help "nurture young talent in the country" (SOCCEREX, 6/9). ... German betting operator Tipico has entered into a partnership with the Danish FA (DBU). The two-year deal will begin immediately and run through '17. Under the agreement, Tipico will become an official partner of the DBU as well as the men's national team, the country's U21 team and the Danish women's team (IGAMING BUSINESS, 6/9). ... Wuhan-based automobile manufacturer Dongfeng Honda has agreed to a deal to sponsor the 2015 East Asian Football Federation East Asian Cup. The deal will see Dongfeng Honda supply vehicles to support the tournament, which is set to take place in Wuhan, China, in August (SOCCEREX, 6/9).

TOULOUSE SIGNS WITH JOMA: Ligue 1 side Toulouse named Joma its new kit supplier. The Spanish brand replaces Kappa as the Ligue 1 club's technical partner and will "kit out the team" for the next four seasons. The contract includes official playing kits as well as replica wear and other products for the general public. No financial terms were released (SOCCEREX, 6/9). ... Titanbet UK has teamed up with broadcaster BT Sport to sponsor coverage of this month's Caribbean Premier League T20. The agreement will see the sportsbook endorse all 33 live matches from the popular tournament with program bumpers, as well as a one-hour highlights show. It is Titanbet's first cricket program sponsorship as it "looks to invest further in broadcasting and increase brand awareness among fans" (SBC NEWS, 6/8).
