Brasileiro Side Internacional Training Center 'Inter City' To Take Shape In '16

Brasileiro side Internacional's training center, dubbed "Inter City," will "take even more shape" as of '16, according to Tomás Hammes of GLOBO ESPORTE. The club "awaits the release of environmental licenses at the end of the year in order to decide how to begin the project." The new complex "will be built" in Brazil's southern city of Guaíba and plans to be 88.7 hectares, which is why the club "needs" the environmental paperwork to "know how much of this space can be used." The training center also has the intention to "become a tourist attraction" with a nearby nature trail and Guaíba River out front. The space will include a "complete clinical center, with areas for social services, psychology, physiology, odontology, nutrition, rooms for physical therapy, a medical department, operating room, electrocardiogram and X-rays, in addition to the gym, bars, restaurants and convenience stores." Internacional Finance VP Pedro Affatato said, "It won't be a simple training center. It will be 'Inter City.' We want to have all the categories together" (GLOBO ESPORTE, 6/9).
