The German Football League (DFL) is restructuring its leadership with CEO CHRISTIAN SEIFERT "becoming the sole chairman." The league decided to leave ANDREAS RETTIG's position as chairman of playing operations "vacant." Rettig "resigned from his position about two months ago" (SID, 5/20). ... Repucom has appointed LARS STEGELMANN as exec VP of commercial operations. Stegelmann is based in Cologne and reports directly to Managing Dir STEPHAN SCHRÖDER. Stegelmann leads the new business teams in the German-speaking region, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Portugal and Turkey. He has worked for MATCH Hospitality and the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in '10, for UEFA linked to Euro 2012 as well as the UEFA Champions League final in '11 in Munich. Most recently, he developed the commercial concept for the new Formula E series (Repucom). ... LEE HOOS will be joining EPL side Queens Park Rangers in the role of CEO. Hoos hails from Baltimore and will officially join QPR for the '15-16 season from Burnley, where he has held the CEO position since Dec. '11. Hoos has worked for Southampton, Leicester City and Fulham prior to his appointment at Turf Moor (QPR). ... Former Turnkey Intelligence Senior VP/Consumer Research STEVE SEIFERHELD has formed his own marketing strategy and consumer insights practice, called Insight For All (THE DAILY).

COACHES/MANAGERS: One day after sacking coach RICARDO DRUBSCKY, Brasileiro side Fluminense "arranged on Wednesday the return" of ENDERSON MOREIRA as coach. Moreira will coach the club until the end of the year (AE, 5/21). ... Former Tottenham Hotspur, ManU and England striker TEDDY SHERINGHAM will "take up his first managerial role" at League Two side Stevenage, the club announced on Thursday. The 49-year-old, who has "spent the last 12 months as an attacking coach at West Ham United," replaces GRAHAM WESTLEY, whose contract expires on May 31 (REUTERS, 5/21). ... Pro12 rugby side Leinster coach MATT O'CONNOR has "left his job by mutual agreement, the Irish province said on Thursday, after the three-time European champions finished fifth in the PRO12 competition and failed to make the playoffs." The Australian took over at Leinster in '13 after four seasons at Premiership Rugby side Leicester Tigers (REUTERS, 5/21).
