ISE To Handle Ticket Matters Of Brazilian Team Or CBF Pays $1M Fine, According To Contract

The closed contract between the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) and Cayman Islands-based company ISE states that the "ticket prices of the national team's games, even in Brazil, are not determined by the CBF," according to Jamil Chade of ESTADÃO. ISE's "control goes beyond" owning the team's transmission rights. The contract said, "ISE is the only party responsible for tickets to matches and other related events, and it will have the exclusive right to sell or offer tickets to these matches and events, to receive all revenue that comes from these tickets, to designate spectators' places, to define ticket prices and to fulfill anything else related to the matter." Should the CBF cancel participation of any match under the agreement, "the document makes it clear that ISE reserves the right to fine" the body a total of $2M. For all other contract violations, the CBF would be fined $1M. However, ISE "reserves the right to revise or make any other negotiations, even without the CBF's authorization." ISE also receives "10 official team jerseys, totally autographed by the entire national Brazilian team per each game" (ESTADÃO, 5/19).
