League Notes: FIA Creates Nepal Earthquake Assistance Fund, Donates $113,000

The FIA announced creation of a fund to assist its local club after the recent earthquake in Nepal. The associated campaign will see the FIA urge support from the FIA community, across both sport and mobility arms of the organization, to contribute funds that will go entirely to the local national sporting authority, the Nepal Auto Sports Association. The FIA will open the fund by making a direct contribution of €100,000 ($113,150) (FIA). ... The Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) announced the integration of BMX Freestyle Park as a new UCI cycling discipline via the launch of the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup. The first edition of the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup will be held in '16. This competition will be part of the FISE World Series, the Int'l Festival of Extreme Sports (UCI).
