Leeds United Owner To Sell Club If Not Promoted In Two Seasons

League Championship side Leeds United Owner Massimo Cellino said that he will "sell the club if they fail to win promotion" to the Premier League in two seasons, according to James McMath of the LONDON TIMES. Cellino has "returned to work after his six-month Football League ban following tax evasion charges in his native Italy." He said that he "will not consider a sale" until '17, despite speculation suggesting that he is looking to walk away. Leeds finished 15th in the Sky Bet Championship this season and Cellino "has made no secret of his desire to see them return to the top flight." Cellino: "I wish to be in the Premier League yesterday but we can't expect to be there just because our name is Leeds. If in two seasons, if we are ready, then I stay. If not, two seasons' time, I will sell. Until then, this club is not for sale" (LONDON TIMES, 5/14).
