More Than 12.5 Million Viewers Watch Champions League Semifinal Match On ZDF

German public broadcaster ZDF "recorded more than 12.5 million viewers for its coverage of the UEFA Champions League semifinal between Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. An average of 12.56 million viewers tuned in to watch the second leg of the matchup starting at 8:45pm. The number translated into a market share of 40.6%. In the target demographic 14-46, Bayern's 3-2 victory attracted 3.98 million viewers and drew a 34.8% share. The game's pregame coverage, which started at 8:25pm, was watched by 7.31 million viewers, including 2.24 million in the target demo. The resulting market shares were 29.9% and 25.1%, respectively (QUOTENMETER, 5/13).

IN SPAIN: The game drew an average audience of 6.4 million viewers, which translated to a market share of 37%, on TVE's La 1. The audience peaked at 10:35pm local time with 8.4 million viewers. A total of 13.8 million viewers "tuned in at one point during the broadcast" (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 5/13).
