Marketplace Roundup: Second Bundesliga Side VfR Aalen Partners With Sport Saller

Second Bundesliga side VfR Aalen has agreed to a new partnership with Sport Saller. The three-year deal will see Sport Saller become the official kit supplier of the club. In addition, Sport Saller will receive ad space in camera view along with logo presence in the club's media publications. The deal was brokered by Sportfive (VfR Aalen). ... German Hockey League (DEL) side Dusseldorf EG has extended its deal with utility provider Stadtwerke Dusseldorf for another season (DEG). ... League Championship side Sheffield Wednesday announced a new partnership with Leeds Bradford Airport that will see fans benefit from exclusive flight offers and competitions. Leeds Bradford will join the SWFC commercial partners program and become the club’s official airport partner (SWFC). ... Business and education IT specialist Silverbug "has become the lead sponsor" of League Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Silverbug's logo "will appear on the front of Wolves' matchday shirts and training wear" throughout the '15-16 season. The deal "is said to be worth a significant six-figure sum" (SOCCEREX, 5/6). ... A-League side Melbourne FC signed up CFD and Forex provider IG as its new partner. IG’s logo will appear on the coaches’ apparel and media assets until at least the end of '16. IG will also benefit from in-stadium exposure at home games, as well as a strong presence across the club’s digital media platforms (IG). ... Brazilian telecom Oi "announced that it would give its name" to the Rio de Janeiro round of the Surfing World Championship. Oi will also be the "Internet provider" at the competition's location at Barra da Tijuca beach (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 5/6). ... Poland's Ekstraklasa and adidas will continue their partnership for another season. The renewal will continue the deal through the '16-17 season (POLISH SPORTS NETWORK, 5/5).
