Marketplace Roundup: Int'l Triathlon Union Renews With Lagardère Until '20

The Int'l Triathlon Union announced that it has renewed its World Triathlon Series contract with Lagardère Unlimited until '20. The extension of the contract ensures the existence of the WTS beyond '16, when the current contract is slated to expire, with Lagardère set to organize a minimum of five of the World Triathlon Series events moving forward (ITU). ... Surfer Gabriel Medina signed a new sponsorship contract with Coppertone, which will "be valid for two years." The Coppertone logo "will now be exposed" on Medina's surfboard. Coppertone will also "be able to freely use images of the surfer on social media websites" (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 4/29). ... EPL side West Ham and Umbro announced a new five-year commercial agreement that will see Umbro become West Ham's official technical partner from next season, producing all the Hammers' official kits, from first team to youth level, as well as training products and leisure wear for players and fans (West Ham). ... New Bordeaux Stadium -- which will be the home of Ligue 1 side Bordeaux -- has signed an official partnership with Swiss human resource consulting company Adecco. The deal sees Adecco become the official supplier of employment to the new football venue (SOCCEREX, 4/30). ... Brother Int'l has signed on as the new printing machine partner of the German Handball Federation (DHB) and German Handball Bundesliga. The long-term partnership was brokered by Sportfive (DHB).
