FIFA Investigations Into Spanish Clubs' Youth Transfers To Continue

In addition to Real Madrid and Atlético, FIFA is investigating two other La Liga clubs: Villarreal and Valencia, according to Joaquín Maroto of AS. Rayo Vallecano and Granada "are on the waiting list." FIFA Head of Integrity & Compliance Kimberly Morris is directing the investigations into La Liga clubs for irregularities in the signing of minors. Morris has finished her investigation of Atlético, which began on Dec. 17. FIFA Disciplinary Committee Chair Claudio Sulser ruled against Atlético, "but the punishment is not yet known, and this could be delayed." In Barcelona's case, six months passed after FIFA decided to sanction the club before the club's penalty was determined.
