Scottish Side Rangers, SPFL On Collision Course As Club Plans Free Fan Entry

Scottish Championship side Rangers and the Scottish Professional Football League "are set for another run-in over the Ibrox side’s plans to let season ticket holders into play-off matches for free," according to the Scotland DAILY RECORD. The governing body’s rules "prohibit member clubs from granting free entry to end-of-season games." Half the gate receipts from each playoff match "are due to the SPFL with every league side getting a share of a substantial pot." If the club goes ahead with the plan, "no money would be raised from around 20,000 fans per game -- with three potential clashes at Ibrox" (DAILY RECORD, 4/28).
