Singapore-Based ARC Resort's Plans For Urban Resort In Valencia Could Include F1 Track

The "possible return of F1 to Valencia, to alternate with Formula E, could be feasible under a 'macro-operation' proposed by Singapore-based ARC Resort," according to Raymond Blancafort of MUNDO DEPORTIVO. The project aims to build in Valencia's Marina Real "the best urban resort in the world," which would include a 6-star hotel, entertainment and commercial areas and a casino. The project would create 8,000 jobs and "draw 750,000 tourists per year, with an expected economic impact" of around €280M per year. The "arrival of F1 would come in the second phase of the project, no sooner than '18." The first phase, which "would begin in mid-'16, would focus on the construction of the luxury hotel." The project "will follow, in some respects, the 'Marina Bay' in Singapore" (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 4/22).
