Liverpool Manager BRENDAN RODGERS will speak to striker RAHEEM STERLING after footage emerged of the England int'l "apparently taking nitrous oxide." Images published on The Sun's website appeared to show the 20-year-old Sterling "passing out unconscious after taking the substance, which is described as a legal high." Rodgers said, "When you are a professional sports person it's not something you should be doing but I'll speak to him on that" (REUTERS, 4/13). ... ALLAN DONALD has stepped down as South Africa's cricket coach after "four successful years in the role." The South African, a "formidable fast bowler in his playing days," took over in June '11 and helped the team become the top-ranked Test nation in '12. Cricket South Africa said it would "appoint a replacement in due course" (BBC, 4/14).
