Serie A Side Parma Players Promote Sale Of Club For $43M-$54M

Serie A side Parma's players will "come together to promote the club's sale to potential buyers," quoting a price of €40M ($43.2M) to €50M ($54M), according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The Ducali's "financial crisis has become a national scandal" and many "believe the only way to save the club would be for a new owner to step in." Were a new president to come in and pay the club's sporting debts, the Emilian side would be "granted entry to Serie B next season." Parma Mayor Federico Pizzarotti announced on provincial TV network Teleducato that the players "will be joining in an effort to find a new owner." Pizzarotti: "It would be enough for someone to provide €40-50 million" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 4/8).
