Marketplace Roundup: Argentina's Boca Juniors Announces 3D Movie

Argentine first division side Boca Juniors is creating a 3D movie that will "allow fans to re-live the biggest moments in club history." The film, "Boca Juniors 3D, la película," will be shown in Argentine theaters beginning Aug. 27 (LOS ANDES, 4/7). ... Nepalese side Three Star has "secured sponsorship" from Ruslan Vodka. The deal, reported to be worth Rs 6.6M ($106,000), will "run for three years and includes branding on the Lalitpur-based team's shirts." Ruslan Vodka has also become the club's "fourth title sponsor, following previous tie-ups" with Nabil Bank, Mega Bank and Laxmi Bank (SOCCEREX, 4/7). ... Brasileiro side São Paulo "amplified the sponsorship deal it had" with Gatorade. The contract, valued at between R$3M ($958,000) and R$5M ($1.6M), "covers actions with the team's brand, with focus on social media." The deal "should be signed in the next few days." Gatorade will have traditional offline exposure at the Morumbi stadium but will also "focus on the relationship with fans on the Internet" (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 4/7). ... UEFA announced that global transport group SNCF joined the team of sponsors supporting UEFA Euro 2016 as the tournament's official national transport partner. SNCF will use its extensive rail network and logistical know-how to make supporters' journeys smoother and easier as they travel around France. SNCF is the tournament's fourth official national sponsor -- alongside FDJ, Proman and Crédit Agricole. UEFA is currently in discussions with various other French companies with a plan to appoint the tournament's last two national partners (UEFA). ... United World Wrestling signed a two-year sponsorship deal with sports nutrition company MusclePharm. The deal, which comes a few months after the federation’s partnership with mat-provider Taishan, is part of the organization’s ongoing process to increase the commercial presence of the sport (MusclePharm).
