Tottenham To Wear Charity's Logo On Front Of Shirts For Match Against Leicester City

Tottenham is showing its support for the AIA China Youth Football Development program during Saturday's Premier League match with Leicester City at White Hart Lane. Players will wear special edition match shirts featuring the charity's logo that will be auctioned off to raise money to help thousands of disadvantaged young people in China gain access to life-changing sporting opportunities via the Club and AIA China. The initiative is part of the club's long-term partnership with AIA. The charity aims to promote the development of youth football across China through coach education, the improvement of sports facilities and the increasing participation in rural areas amongst primary school children (Tottenham).

NAME CHANGE: The London GUARDIAN reported League Two side Luton Town revealed it will rename its 110-year-old Kenilworth Road stadium for one match -- calling it the Prostate Cancer U.K. Stadium "in an effort to raise awareness for the charity." The move, the first time a Football League ground "has been renamed to support a charity, will happen for the League Two game against Wycombe" on Tuesday -- with Kenilworth Road’s 10,000 capacity reflecting the number of men who die from the disease in the U.K. every year. The renaming is part of the Football League charity partner's "Men United" campaign, which includes players’ shirts bearing its Man of Men logo this season (GUARDIAN, 3/18).
