Spanish Government's Lotteries, Gambling Body Partners With RTVE To Promote Sports

Spanish President of Lotteries & Betting Inmaculada García Martínez and broadcaster RTVE Corp. President José Antonio Sánchez on Wednesday signed an agreement for the promotion of Spanish sport, according to the EFE. The lotteries body will donate around €7M ($7.4M) in '15 for the development of sport. A joint statement said, "With the aim of backing Spanish sport, both organizations agree to collaborate to develop promotions and campaigns to facilitate access to sports directed at all sectors of the audience." The promotions "will focus on youth sports and sports with minority participation, and will encourage women's participation and competitions featuring women's athletes and national teams" (EFE, 3/11).
