MP & Silva Extends Bundesliga Media Rights Distribution In Japan Until '18

MP & Silva will continue to distribute the Bundesliga in Japan for the '15-16 to the '17-18 season, having acquired the exclusive media rights from Fox Int'l Channels, 21st Century Fox’s multi-media business and Asia’s leading pay-TV network under a comprehensive sublicensing deal approved by Bundesliga’s commercial subsidiary DFL Sports Enterprises. MP & Silva will be the exclusive distributor of Bundesliga rights in Japan across all platforms, including cable, satellite, terrestrial, Web TV, IPTV and mobile. The deal covers all league matches, the Supercup and the relegation matches as well as league highlights from every round. MP & Silva Managing Dir for Japan & Korea Suhyeon Cho: "Football continues to be one of the most watched sports on television and with so many national footballers playing first-team football in top German sides, we are confident of receiving strong interest from local broadcasters and platforms." There are now more Japanese players in the Bundesliga than ever before, with 13 players in the league (MP & Silva).
