England Coach Wants Millenium Stadium Roof Open For Six Nations Opener Against Wales

England indicated that it is "likely to request" that the roof over the Millennium Stadium remain open for the RBS Six Nations opener against Wales in Cardiff on Friday night, according to Gavin Mairs of the London TELEGRAPH. England head coach Stuart Lancaster must "make a formal announcement to the Welsh Rugby Union by the end of play on Wednesday." Wales head coach Warren Gatland "turned up the heat on England by claiming he wanted the roof on the Millennium Stadium to be closed on Friday night to create a more intense atmosphere and protect fans from the risk of rain." But "with the weather forecast indicating that it is set to be dry on Friday night, England are not likely to accede to Gatland's request" (TELEGRAPH, 2/4).
