Event Notes: Tour De France To Return To Andorra In '16

The Tour de France will return to the Principality of Andorra in '16, seven years after its last visit in '09, when Frenchman Brice Feillu culminated a long breakaway at the summit of Andorra-Arcalís. It will be the Tour's fifth stopover in Andorra, after the ones in '64, '93, '97 and '09. The entire route of the 2016 Tour de France will be revealed on Oct. 20 in Paris (ASO). ... Pete Dye’s Teeth of the Dog golf course in the Dominican Republic "will host the 2016 Latin America Amateur Championship, an event that grants the winner a spot in the Masters Tournament." The inaugural edition, which was created by the Masters and golf’s two organizing bodies in an effort to grow the sport globally, "is being played this week at Pilar Golf in Buenos Aires" (BLOOMBERG, 1/15).
