THIERRY HENRY "will make his debut as a Sky Sports pundit when his former side Arsenal travel to Premier League champions Manchester City." The Frenchman retired from professional football in December before agreeing to a deal with Sky later the same month (London DAILY MIRROR, 1/13). ... The search of Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart for a new finance director continues after reports that ALEXANDER WEHRLE "will not return to the club." Wehrle, who currently is the managing director of league rival FC Cologne, "will fulfill his contract, which is set to expire on June 30, 2017." Wehrle was the top candidate to replace URLICH RUF, who will resign this summer (STUTTGARTER NACHRICHTEN, 1/12).

ALPHA WOLF: League Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers announced that former Owner JACK HAYWARD "has died at the age of 91." Hayward, who ran the club for 17 years from '90-07, "passed away in Fort Lauderdale in the United States on Tuesday after battling illness for several months." Current Chair STEVE MORGAN: "Wolves are a family and we're united in mourning at the loss of one of the club's, and the city's, most cherished sons." A renowned philanthropist, Bahamas-based multi-millionaire Hayward "often gave money to good causes close to his heart." One of his "most generous acts" saw Hayward sell Wolves to Morgan in '03 for just £10, in return for a £30M investment (London TELEGRAPH, 1/13).
