NBA, BT Sport's Supporters Club Partner To Back London-Based Sports Charity Greenhouse

BT Sport's The Supporters club has teamed up with the NBA in a partnership to support London-based sports charity Greenhouse. The program, Greenhouse Sports Basketball, which has been running in London for eight years with funding from Greenhouse's principal sponsor, Prudential, aims to use basketball to encourage the development of life skills that will be valuable to young people from some of London's most deprived areas. The Supporters Club has provided a substantial grant that will see the Greenhouse program rolled out into an additional five London secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, Lewisham, Newham, Camden and Brent (BT Sport).

NBA PARTNERS WITH LUOL DENG FOUNDATION: The NBA and Miami Heat forward Luol Deng's Luol Deng Foundation announced a partnership in which the NBA will support the DENG Academy, a basketball school run out of Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton. The academy aims to produce elite basketball players to feed into English Basketball League club Brixton Topcats (NBA).

NBA YAO BASKETBALL CLUB EXPANDS: CHINA DAILY reported NBA China and Yao Ming announced that the NBA Yao Basketball Club, formerly known as the NBA Yao School, will launch its first camp in Shanghai in February. The NBA Yao Basketball Club 2015 Winter Camp will take place at the Yuanshen Basketball Park in Shanghai from Feb. 2-13 (CHINA DAILY, 1/11).
