Marketplace Roundup: InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Acquires Firmenlauf Gmbh

Sports marketing company InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment has acquired Firmenlauf GmbH in a 100% takeover. The two running series -- Schweizer Firmenlauf and the B2RUN Swiss Corporate Challenge -- are to appear under one new umbrella brand renamed as "B2RUN Schweizer Firmenlauf," which features six events (Infront). ... Serie A side Sampdoria has "signed a shirt sponsorship deal with sun-awning manufacturer Para and its Tempotest brand." The Para Tempotest logo "will be emblazoned on the breast of the Sampdoria playing shirts" for the remainder of the '14-15 season (SOCCEREX, 1/8). ... Scotiabank, as part of its recently announced partnership with CONCACAF, will sponsor the CONCACAF U20 Championship tournament and support future football players (Scotiabank). ... Thai golfer Kiradech Aphibarnrat "has signed a three-year contract with IMG." The 25-year-old won the Asian Tour Order of Merit in '13. Kiradech "is the fifth Thai golfer under IMG" after Thongchai Jaidee, Chapchai Nirat, Moriya Jutanugarn and Ariya Jutanugarn (BANGKOK POST, 1/8). ... The Int'l Cricket Council announced a new partnership with ANZ as the official bank in New Zealand for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. ANZ has long supported cricket in New Zealand (ICC). ... Octagon Brazil announced the addition of three official 2016 Rio Games sponsors as clients: Cisco, Estacio and Skol (Octagon).
