Media Notes: Cycling Australia Announces Partnership With Channel 9, Fox Sports

Cycling Australia announced an unprecedented two-year broadcast partnership with the Nine Network and Fox Sports. The partnership, which runs to the end of '16, will see road, track and mountain bike showcased on both the free-to-air network and subscription service Foxtel via a combination of live and delayed scheduling, and event highlights packages (Cycling Australia). ... French pay-TV operator Canal+ is broadcasting NBA games on its Canal+ and Canal+ Sport channels in around 20 African countries "including Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon," since Thursday. Three matches "are programmed for the first day, including two pre-recorded games." During the rest of the year, "two games will be offered every week, on Wednesday and Thursday nights" (NEXTV, 1/5).
