Marketplace Roundup: Land Rover Becomes Official Partner Of Swiss Ice Hockey Cup

The Swiss Ice Hockey Cup agreed to a new sponsorship deal with Land Rover. The British carmaker will become an official partner of the competition starting with the two semifinal matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Land Rover logo will also be featured on the players' jerseys (Infront). ... Deutsche Bank has increased and extended its partnership with the Deutschen Sporthilfe until '18 (Deutsche Sporthilfe). ... Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama has signed with IMG. Matsuyama currently stands as the No. 16 player on the Official World Golf Ranking (VARIETY, 1/5). ... European Tour golfer Paul Maddy has signed with MB Partners under full management and commercial representation. Maddy will embark on his first season on the European Tour in '15 (MP Partners). ... The Ghana FA "announced the confirmation of GN Bank as the sponsors of the nation’s second tier league." GN Bank "will sponsor the Ghanaian National Division One" for the '14-15 season. The deal between GN Bank and the GFA "is the second deal in the space of a year which the football body has signed with a financial institution" after First Capital Plus agreed a $10M, five-year deal to sponsor the Ghanaian Premier League in early '14 (VENTURES AFRICA, 1/6). ... Scottish Premiership side Celtic re-appointed Centerplate -- "which has managed the public concourse catering at the 60,832 capacity Celtic Park stadium for the past decade" -- as its catering partner for a long-term contract extension, following a competitive tender process. Centerplate "is undertaking a full refurbishment" of the 40-plus kiosks on the public concourse for the '14-15 season (FACILITIES MANAGEMENT JOURNAL, 1/6).
