UEFA Extends Financial Fair Play Investigations To EPL Side Hull City, Ligue 1 Side Lyon

Ligue 1 side Lyon and EPL side Hull City are among 13 clubs that “could face sanctions for breaking European soccer ruling body’s so-called financial fair play rules,” according to Alex Duff of BLOOMBERG. Sparta Prague, Panathinaikos, Wolfsburg and Ruch Chorzow were also placed under investigation by UEFA. Liverpool, Inter Milan, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Monaco, Besiktas and Krasnodar “remain under scrutiny.” UEFA rules prohibit teams “racking up losses" of more than €45M ($55.4M) over two seasons. The period currently being monitored covers the ‘11-12 and ‘12-13 campaigns. The clubs have until February to submit additional information to UEFA (BLOOMBERG, 12/5).
