Former Wales and British and Irish Lions wing GERALD DAVIES "has been appointed chairman of the Pro12." The 69-year-old, who won 46 caps for Wales and toured with the British and Irish Lions in '68 and '71, "succeeds former Scotland full-back" ANDY IRVINE (BBC, 12/4). ... Marylebone Cricket Club announced that GERALD CORBETT is to be the next chairman of the club. Corbett will succeed OLIVER STOCKEN on Oct. 1. Corbett has been an MCC Member since '95 and has served on the board of 12 different public companies, six of them as chairman. He is currently chairman of British soft drinks company Britvic Plc. (Lords). ... China's national shooting team head coach WANG YIFU "has been named" VP of the Int'l Shooting Sports Federation. Besides Wang, the General Assembly of ISSF also named LUCIANO ROSSI from Italy, GARY ANDERSON from the U.S. and VLADIMIR LISIN from Russia as its VPs (XINHUA, 12/4). ... Aramark Chair JOSEPH NEUBAUER is stepping down in February "after choosing not to seek re-election." He will be replaced by President & CEO ERIC FOSS. Neubauer joined the company in '79 and was elected president in '81. Foss has been in his current position since '12 (BIZJOURNALS, 12/3).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Argentine RAMÓN DÍAZ has been named the new coach of the Paraguayan national football team. Paraguayan FA President ALEJANDRO DOMÍNGUEZ said, "This begins a new stage, which is why we took a lot of time to find this person" (DPA, 12/4). ... Liga MX side León named JUAN ANTONIO PIZZI its new manager. Pizzi replaces GUSTAVO MATOSAS. León's previous coaching experience includes stints in Argentina, Perú and Chile (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 12/4). ... Mexico football coach MIGUEL HERRERA "signed a new four-year deal." The man known as “Piojo,” which translates to "louse" in English, "has became a cult hero in his homeland after taking over the national team" in March '13 and leading it to World Cup qualification (NBC, 12/4).
