Second Bundesliga side 1860 Munich President GERHARD MAYRHOFER "has been re-elected." The 52-year-old received 111 of 170 votes at the club's delegate meeting on Tuesday. Mayrhofer, who has been the club's president since July '13, is looking toward the future. He said, "We want to forget last year as fast as possible, look ahead and prepare our beloved club for the future in which we will be again able to make decisions. Only then we will be strong" (SID, 12/3). ... FIBA appointed and approved the hiring of five regional directors: Regional Director for Africa ALPHONSE BILE, Regional Director for the Americas ALBERTO GARCIA, Regional Director for Asia HAGOP KHAJIRIAN, Regional Director for Europe KAMIL NOVAK and Regional Director for Oceania DAVID CROCKER (FIBA). ... Qatar appointed a new CEO of its sovereign wealth fund on Wednesday, naming ruling family member SHEIKH ABDULLAH BIN MOHAMED BIN SAUD AL-THANI the new head of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), which owns 70% of Paris St. Germain. Sheikh Abdullah is currently chairman of telecommunications firm Ooredoo, a position he has held since '00, and "served as chief of the royal court from 2000 to 2005 and has been a member of the country's planning council." Sheikh Abdullah replaces AHMED AL-SAYED, who had been CEO of Qatar Holding, "the investment arm of QIA, before his appointment to the QIA job" in July '13 (REUTERS, 12/3). The Int'l Shooting Sport Federation general assembly re-elected OLEGARIO VAZQUEZ RAÑA for another four-year term. He received 165 votes, beating the "sole other candidate" SHEIK SALMAN AL SABAH, who collected 128 votes. This is Raña's ninth consecutive term since his first election in '80 (ISSF). ... U.K. bookmaker Ladbrokes CEO RICHARD GYLNN “is to step down after five years in the saddle” (FINANCIAL TIMES, 12/3). ... Valencia majority shareholder VCF Foundation President AURELIO MARTÍNEZ will no longer be a member of the VCF Foundation's board of trustees. Martínez "played a key role in the sale of the club." SER MIANG NG will take over as president of the VCF Foundation (SUPERDEPORTE, 12/2).

COACHES/MANAGERS: South Korean K-League Classic side Jeju United coach PARK KYUNG-HOON “stepped down on Wednesday with one year left in his contract, citing personal reasons.” The club announced that Park informed the team President JANG SEOK-SOO that “he wanted to leave the bench because of health concerns” (YONHAP, 12/3). ... Argentine first division side Quilmes announced that it has dismissed Manager PABLO QUATTROCCHI (TYC SPORTS, 12/2). ... Liga MX side Puebla President JESÚS LÓPEZ CHARGOY assured on Monday that Manager JOSÉ LUIS SÁNCHEZ SOLÁ was "90% guaranteed to remain with the team," but it seems that the two "did not reach an agreement," as the manager tweeted that he is leaving the club. He tweeted on Tuesday, "Today I leave as the coach of Puebla. Thanks to everyone, I was happy" (LA AFICION, 12/2). ... Azerbaijan has named former Croatia midfielder ROBERT PROSINECKI as head coach to replace BERTIE VOGTS, who quit in October. Prosinecki has agreed to "take over until the end of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign and inherits a team standing bottom of their Euro 2016 qualifying group without a point" (REUTERS, 12/3).
