Marketplace Roundup: Former ManU Keeper Schmeichel To Endorse Bookmaker Tipico

Ex-ManU goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has signed a personal endorsement deal with Danish bookmaker Tipico. Schmeichel will become a brand ambassador for the bookmaker in his native country of Denmark, Germany and Austria (Tipico). ... Barcelona's new shirt design "will not receive official approval" until the club's board of directors votes in its favor (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 12/3). ... Liqui Moly is terminating its engagement in the World Touring Car Championship. In its place the German motor oil and additive expert will continue its sponsoring activities with Volkswagen at the new TC3 Int'l Series next year (Liqui Moly). ... EPL side Tottenham Hotspur has added El Cerrito Futbol club to its "growing global coaching programme aimed at supporting the development of the grassroots game in North America." The deal "will see staff from Tottenham’s global coaching team work in partnership with the U.S. side throughout the season" (SOCCEREX, 12/3). ... Integrated financial services provider Momentum, through its business unit Momentum Investments, is the latest partner to be associated with the Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup. Momentum Investments will be the official supporting partner to the event (Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup).
