Ferrari F1 has appointed MAURIZIO ARRIVABENE as its new team principal, replacing MARCO MATTIACCI, "who himself only took the post in April." Arrivabene becomes the Scuderia's third chief in '14 and will "take the titles of Managing Director of Gestione Sportiva and Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari." He joins from Philip Morris and has also "represented all Formula 1 sponsors on the F1 Commission" since '10 (SKY SPORTS, 11/24). ...  Former New Zealand rugby player AARON MAUGER is to return to Premiership Rugby side Leicester Tigers as head coach on a three-year contract, starting next season. Mauger will leave his job as assistant coach of Super 15 side Crusaders in New Zealand at the end of this campaign. He will fill the gap left by MATT O'CONNOR's departure in May '13 (BBC, 11/24). ... Spanish second division club Sabadell named ÁLEX GARCIA its new coach. Garcia replaces MIQUEL OLMO, who was dismissed on Sunday (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 11/24). ... A-League side Brisbane Roar named FRANS THIJSSEN its interim head coach. He replaces former coach MIKE MULVEY and the appointment is effective immediately (Football Australia). ... Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart coach ARMIN VEH resigned on Monday, a day after the team lost 1-0 to Augsburg to "remain anchored to the foot of the table" (REUTERS, 11/24). ...
