Close To 10 Million Viewers Tune In To Germany-Spain Int'l Friendly On ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded close to 10 million viewers for its broadcast of the int'l friendly between Germany and Spain on Tuesday," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. The game attracted an average audience of 9.98 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 32.1%. In the target demographic 14-49, Germany's 1-0 win obtained a market share of 29.1% as 3.46 million viewers tuned in (QUOTENMETER, 11/19).

IN FRANCE: French TV network TF1 announced that 6.2 million viewers watched the France-Sweden match Tuesday, "representing a 25% audience share." According to a TF1 statement, the broadcast garnered “a peak of 7.8 million viewers at the end of the match” (SPORT 24, 11/19).
