Franchise Notes: Scottish Premiership Side Motherwell Delays Manager Appointment

Scottish Premiership side Motherwell "will delay the appointment of a new manager until ownership issues surrounding the Fir Park outfit have been resolved." Supporter group The Well Society said that it remains "hopeful of completing a deal to bring the club into community ownership" (STV, 11/17). ... Four men "are due in court on Monday following an investigation into the sale of Rangers Football Club in 2011." Police Scotland "detained the men on Friday as part of a joint operation with officers in England." It is alleged that two 50-year-olds and two men aged 53 and 49 "were involved in a fraudulent scheme to acquire the club" (STV, 11/15).
