Spanish Energy Provider Iberdrola Renews La Roja Sponsorship Through Euro 2016

Spanish energy company Iberdrola and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) renewed their partnership through Euro 2016, according to AS. Iberdrola President Ignacio Galán and RFEF President Ángel María Villar presented the agreement on Thursday, which includes Iberdrola's sponsorship of Spain's U21 and women's national teams. The partnership began in '09, when the energy provider became La Roja's principal sponsor. Galán said that the deal "continues a collaboration with which his company is enormously satisfied, as it involves a group of great athletes that, under the direction of Vicente del Bosque, has given Spanish people many happy memories" (AS, 11/13).
