Marketplace Roundup: German Volleyball Federation Signs With Layenberger Nutrition

The German Volleyball Federation (DVV) has signed a new main sponsorship deal with Layenberger Nutrition Group. The company's logo will be featured on the jersey of the federation's national teams through '17 (DVV). ... Super League rugby side Wigan Warriors introduced global sportswear manufacturer Erreà as the club's new kit and retail partner. The deal will see Erreà work with the club over the next four years to provide playing and replica kit as well as training, leisure and fashion wear (Wigan Warriors). ... Asiana Airlines is to be the official airline for The Presidents Cup 2015. In supporting The Presidents Cup 2015, Asiana Airlines plans to provide flight tickets for the players and the officials of the PGA Tour for the duration of the event and to introduce the event in its airline magazines and videos (Presidents Cup). ... Kuwait’s Al Ahli Bank "agreed to sponsor Wednesday’s match between Kuwaiti team Al Arabi and Egypt’s Al Ahli." The friendly match "will be played at Sabah Al-Salim Stadium in Kuwait city and has been arranged as the Kuwaiti league takes a break for the Gulf Cup of Nations" (SOCCEREX, 11/11).

RINSE AND REPEAT: A-League side Sydney FC signed existing corporate partner De Lorenzo Haircare as the club’s back of shorts sponsor for the remainder of the '14-15 season. De Lorenzo Haircare attends non match-day business functions and sponsors the Westfield W-League Player of the Year award, won last season by Nicola Bolger (Sydney FC). ... Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain has a new partnership with Qatari Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Hospital Aspetar. LED panels at Parc des Princes stadium displayed the name of Aspetar -- “which is led by the former Paris St. Germain club doctor, Hakim Chalabi” -- during the “Classico” on Sunday. The contract was signed last week for a period of three years. It “should bring in between €7M-€8M ($8.7M-$9.9M) per year to the club.” This agreement “should eventually lead to a close medical collaboration between the Qatari institution and the Paris club” (LE PARISIEN, 11/11). ... Brasileiro side Cruzeiro launched an exclusive line of lingerie featuring the club's colors and logo that it will feature at its official stores (CLARIN, 11/11). ... The Great Britain campaign will repeat its partnership with the Clipper Race for a second time after a successful campaign in the '13-14 series. As a team sponsor, the campaign profiled British trade, tourism and sport in major markets on six continents. The crew also secured a podium place, finishing in second overall. Clipper Ventures CEO William Ward said, "The Clipper Race provides a unique global platform to showcase brand and destination partners around the world" (Clipper Round the World).

SPORTSWEAR DEALS
: 361 Degrees Int'l Ltd. announced that One Way Sport Oy signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with the Chinese Ski Association. The One Way brand, under One Way Sport, will be the exclusive sponsor of the Chinese biathlon, cross-country skiing and ski jumping national teams. It will also supply leading professional equipment, including the specialized gear used in all competitions, group and daily trainings and attending various activities for the aforementioned national team athletes (361 Degrees). ... Int'l Sportswear Company Kukri announced a deal to become the official kit supplier to Kingstone Press Championship side Leigh Centurions. The deal will run until at least the end of the 2016 Rugby League season with an option for a further year at the club’s discretion. Kukri will supply all playing kit, training wear and leisurewear for the club, as well as a range of retail merchandise (Leigh Centurians).
