Serie A Side Parma Takeover Talks With Albanian Oil Tycoon Reportedly Stall

Albanian oil tycoon Rezart Taci’s Parma takeover "is reportedly not progressing," after his first offer "failed to meet Tommaso Ghirardi’s valuation of the club," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The Albanian "has been increasingly reported this week as in talks with Ghirardi over buying a controlling stake in the Ducali." However, the Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Taci’s offer of €1M ($1.25M) "to take over the club and its debts was deemed too low." Nevertheless, both parties "are expected to return to the negotiating table over the weekend, although it remains to be seen whether Taci will come back with a significantly improved bid" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 11/12).
