Marketplace Roundup: Alba Berlin Signs New Partnership With Telecom Company Otelo

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club Alba Berlin has signed a new partnership with telecom company Otelo. The deal, which will run through the end of the '14-15 season, includes an extensive communications package along with ad presence on LED boards, baselines and on the court (Alba Berlin). ... Swiss watch brand Longines and the Japanese Racing Association announced an agreement in which Longines becomes the Japan Cup's official partner, timekeeper and watch (Longines). ... Australian Football League side North Melbourne named Canterbury its official apparel partner for the next three seasons. The new partnership will see the players fitted with apparel on and off the field, while fans will have access to a new range of sports, performance and casual wear. The Kangaroos will wear the jumper for the first time during the NAB Challenge (North Melbourne). ... The Oman FA announced on Monday that automobile partner Mazda will become the title sponsor of the OFA's cup competition played by the top 14 teams in the country. The competition, now known as the Mazda Professional Cup, kicks off in the next few weeks (Oman FA). ... The Football League agreed to a new partnership with KP Snacks that will see McCoy's become its official crisp partner (The Football League). ... LG Electronics Australia appointed Aussie cricketer David Warner its official brand ambassador (LG). ... Bookmaker 888sport was named the new sponsor of the Sandown Park Racecourse's Tingle Creek Chase. The £150,000 ($237,900) highlight scheduled for Dec. 6 is expected to feature the last two winners in Sprinter Sacre and Sire De Grugy (SPORTING LIFE, 11/10).
