Fan Groups Of 2nd Bundesliga Club RB Leipzig Criticize Team For Too Much Red Bull At Stadium

Fan groups of 2nd Bundesliga club RB Leipzig "have criticized the team for offering too many Red Bull beverages at the stadium," according to DIE WELT. The transcript of the last fan groups meeting said, "Things that have been promised after a test meal in the summer haven't even been put on the menu yet; too many beverages include Red Bull and offerings for children are limited." The complaint "is remarkable" considering that the investments of Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz made Leipzig's promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga possible. The club's home is called Red Bull Arena and the abbreviation RB, which officially stands for Rasenballsport due to German football regulations, "is also a link to the energy drink producer." Despite the criticism, the club attracts an average of 24,780 spectators to its home games, which puts it in the top third of league attendance (DIE WELT, 11/7).
