Dove Creates 'Emotive' Rugby Ad Ahead Of International Tour

Dove Men+Care "launched an emotive online ad with the rugby stars Sam Warburton and Owen Farrell" reading an adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling poem "If," according to Sara Kimberley of CAMPAIGN LIVE. The spot, created by Fast Track for the sports marketing shop Essentially, "launched ahead of a major 12 months of international rugby." Players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales "star in the ad" reading an adapted version of "If." The ad "was created by Sophie Clark and Fiona Clark, and directed by Liz Unna." The exec producers "were Nick Loader and Chris Chaundler." It coincides with the launch of Dove Men+Care’s new campaign, "#scrumtogether," which champions the dedication of players through online activity on YouTube and social media (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 11/3).

GUINNESS AIRS SHORT FILMS: CAMPAIGN LIVE's James Swift wrote Guinness "is airing four short films about inspirational figures in home nations rugby ahead of the autumn internationals." Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO created the spots, which fit within Guinness’ "made of more" position. It "will first air" on TV on Wednesday. Each of the spots "celebrates a different home nation" -- England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales -- by telling stories about inspiring figures or heroic team performances. Guinness "sponsors all the home nations’ rugby unions" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 11/4).
