Spanish Second Division Side Zaragoza Employees To Go On Strike Starting Monday

Spanish second division side Real Zaragoza's employees have "called an indefinite strike" starting on Monday, according to the EFE. The "strike is set to begin after a period of consultation with the club," which has instituted a redundancy procedure (ERE) temporarily suspending labor contracts. Local labor syndicates "indicated that the strike has been called due to the team's 'intransigent position' and the 'bad faith with which the club has planned and directed this process.'" Team employees "were expected to gather outside the club's offices on Wednesday prior to the final scheduled meeting between their representatives and the club's lawyers" (EFE, 11/4).
