German Football League (DFL) subsidiary DFL Digital Sports GmbH, which is in charge of the production of national and int'l media content, "has to look for a new managing director" after TOM BENDER announced that "he will step down from the position at the end of the year." Former professional footballer JUPP NEHL "will take over on an interim basis until a replacement for Bender has been found" (SID, 11/3). ... UK Anti-Doping Exec Team CEO ANDY PARKINSON "is to take over as British Rowing’s chief executive." He "will be tasked with maintaining rowing as one of Britain’s most successful Olympic sports" (PA, 11/3). ... Scottish Championship side Rangers shareholder MIKE ASHLEY placed long-time football aide DEREK LLAMBIAS on to the Rangers board, "the Sports Direct entrepreneur’s first move since tightening his grip on the Scottish club." For five years "he was managing director of Newcastle." Llambias "had been acting as a consultant for the club" since Oct. 28. (FINANCIAL TIMES, 11/3).

COACHES/MANAGERS: La Liga side Real Sociedad sacked Manager JAGOBA ARRASATE on Sunday after the team lost to Malaga 1-0 on Saturday. Former ManU Manager DAVID MOYES "has been linked" with the job. He was said to be on a "three-man shortlist" alongside former EPL side West Ham Manager PEPE MEL and former Argentina Manager ALEJANDRO SABELLA (REUTERS, 11/2). ... Argentine first division side Godoy Cruz dismissed Manager CARLOS MAYOR on Monday "after both parties decided to end the association." At the "press conference announcing the news, Mayor said that he had 'the desire to stay' in the position but that his departure was inevitable" due to the team's poor play (LOS ANDES, 11/3). ... J.League club Vissel Kobe announced Monday that Manager RYO ADACHI "will step down from the helm with the expiration of his contract this season." A successor for the 45-year-old Adachi "has yet to be determined" (KYODO, 11/3). ... Former Team Sky Sports Dir SEAN YATES, who helped BRADLEY WIGGINS win the Tour de France, is joining CHRIS FROOME’s “main rivals Tinkoff-Saxo as a sports director.” Yates left Team Sky in ’12, “when he suddenly quit” (BBC, 11/3).
