EPL Side Swansea City In Talks With Former MLB Padres Owner John Moores

Another American billionaire, former Major League Baseball club San Diego Padres Owner John Moores, was in "talks over investing in a Premier League club on Wednesday" after it emerged Swansea City and Moores "were in talks," according to Ben Rumsby of the London TELEGRAPH. Moores was named as the "entrepreneur in negotiations to buy a stake in Swansea." The 70-year-old owned the Padres for 18 years before "selling up" for £500M in '12 (TELEGRAPH, 10/30). The BBC reported Swansea Chair Huw Jenkins "would neither confirm nor deny the link with Moores." Jenkins: "Until there is actually a bit more detail and more definite information to give, this is pure speculation" (BBC, 10/30).
