IOC Awards Canadian TV Rights To 2018, 2020 Olympics To Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has secured the country's broadcast rights to the 2018 and 2020 Olympics, according to the AP. The IOC said that it awarded the rights "across all platforms to Canada's national public radio and television broadcaster for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo." Terms of the deal "were not announced." CBC President Hubert Lacroix said that "the corporation will partner with Bell Media and Rogers Media to carry the 2018 and 2020 Games" (AP, 10/28).
