Atlético Madrid's Vicente Calderón stadium is expecting a crowd of more than 50,000 for Sunday's La Liga match against Espanyol, and "more importantly, this will give the club combined attendance at home games in '14 of more than 1 million," according to F.J. Díaz of AS. The club has drawn a total of 979,600 fans to its first 21 "official competitions" this year. Atlético has filled its stadium five times -- twice for La Liga matches and three times for Champions League contests.
