Marketplace Roundup: Drinks Brand Capri-Sonne Signs With Four Bundesliga Clubs

German drinks brand Capri-Sonne has signed partnership deals with four Bundesliga clubs for the '14-15 season. The brand will support the youth initiatives of Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, TSG Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen as an official partner (Capri-Sonne). ... Barcelona Economic VP Javier Faus said that the club has “not ruled out replacing Qatar as its shirt sponsor.” Faus: “Qatar has a contract through June 30, 2016 and will surely remain on the shirt until then. According to the new statutes, the assembly has to decide on it if there is to be a new sponsor. In October of 2015, the board will make its proposal about the shirt. … This week we hired IMG to advise us and evaluate our market opportunities” (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 10/13). ... Italy's Lega Pro, which includes the country's third and fourth tier football divisions, has renewed its partnership with sports data provider Sportradar. The official match ball used in the leagues will now carry a new, combined logo featuring the words "Lega Pro-Integrity." Lega Pro has worked with Sportradar since the '11-12 season (Lega Pro). ... Qatar Airways announced it has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with UAE football club Al Ahli (Qatar Airways).
