More Than 11 Million Viewers Watch Germany-Poland Euro 2016 Qualifier On RTL

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded more than 11 million viewers for its broadcast of the Euro 2016 qualifier between Germany and Poland on Saturday," according to Daniel Sallhoff of QUOTENMETER. The second half of the matchup, with started at 9:48pm, "broke the 11-million-viewers mark." A total of 11.33 million viewers watched the second half of the game, which Germany lost 2-0. The first half of the game attracted 9.91 million viewers. In the target demographic 14-49, the game's first half attracted 3.62 million viewers, while the second half had 4.15 million viewers. The corresponding market shares were 33.8% and 38.3%, respectively.

F1 IN SOCHI: Prior to the Euro 2016 qualifier, RTL showed the qualifying session of the Russian F1 Grand Prix. The session was watched by 1.61 million viewers and obtained a market share of 17.1%. In the target demographic, the qualifying session, which was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, had a market share of 13.6% (QUOTENMETER, 10/12).
