Singaporean Peter Lim's Reps Resume Negotiations On La Liga Valencia Takeover

Singapore billionaire Peter Lim's Meriton Holdings and La Liga side Valencia lender Bankia are "resuming negotiations regarding the refinancing of Valencia's debt and Lim's acquisition of 70% of the club," according to Conrado Valle of AS. On Wednesday, it was announced that Meriton has presented Bankia a proposal "related to the last four points of discord that caused Lim's representatives involved in negotiations to return to Singapore from Spain two weeks ago." Bankia received "that written proposal and the bank's personnel will review it in the coming days." Neither party has "set a concrete time period for Bankia to give a response, but there is a compromise to do so with the greatest urgency that the evaluation will allow." The presentation of this document, "however, shows Lim's firm intention to acquire Valencia, but on terms that currently have not been finalized" (AS, 10/2).
