Premiership Rugby side Leicester Tigers added World Cup winner BEN KAY to the club's board of directors. Kay is among the most successful players in professional rugby history. He is now a rugby commentator with BT Sport and a partner in an award-winning advertising agency (Leicester Tigers).

: Second Bundesliga side 1860 Munich has fired head coach RICARDO MONIZ "on Wednesday after the club's 1-0 loss against Sandhausen on Tuesday night." Moniz, who held the position for only three months, said, "I have nothing to say, I'm deeply disappointed." The 50-year-old "was the club's 11th coach since it got relegated from the Bundesliga in '04." 1860 Sports Dir GERHARD POSCHNER said, "I take the responsibility. It also is a personal defeat for me." Moniz was Poschner's personal pick for the head coaching position. Assistant coach MARKUS VON AHLEN has taken over the team (BILD, 9/25). ... Former NBA Chicago Bulls center BILL CARTWRIGHT "was named the coach of Mexico's national basketball team." Cartwright will replace SERGIO VALDEOLMILLOS, who "had coached Mexico since 2011, leading the team to surprise results, including the FIBA Americas title last year and a return to the World Cup after a 40-year absence" (AP, 9/24).
