Indian Super League Banks On Television Commercial To Attract Football Fans

The Indian Super League that kicks off Oct. 12 "is banking on" its new TV commercial "C'mon India! Let's football" to capture the imagination of the 1.2 billion people of the country, according to IANS. The first commercial "marks the start of the league's lead up to a 36-day, 360 degree launch marketing campaign." The campaign "C'mon India! Let's football" has been conceptualized by Ogilvy & Mather and features a "peppy soundtrack composed by Amit Trivedi." It "captures the spirit of hundreds of millions of fans across India" and was shot in more than 20 locations across the country (IANS, 9/11). The PTI reported the campaign features "a panoramic 100 second film." The film "was a magnum-opus project shot across 20 plus locations in India by Manoj Pillai (ThinkPot films)." The campaign was launched during Sunday's T20 cricket match between India and England -- "followed by a heavy promotional blitz across Star Network." Social media sentiment for the campaign is "very positive" (PTI, 9/11).
