German Football League Awards Secondary Ticket Market Contract To Objektkultur Software

The preparations of a secondary ticket market for the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga "have taken another big step," according to the SID. The German Football League (DFL) awarded the contract for the creation, implementation and operation of a secondary ticket market to Objektkultur Software for an initial three years. The DFL said that "all clubs, which want to use the platform from the get-go at the start of the '15-16 season, will be closely involved in the upcoming phase of the platform's creation." The goal of the secondary ticket market "is to combat rising ticket prices and illegal ticket offerings on the Internet" (SID, 9/11).
