Discovery Networks Int'l appointed OMAR GARCIA as director of Eurosport U.S. advertising sales. Discovery Communications recently acquired a controlling interest in Eurosport Group in May. Garcia will be responsible for tapping into Discovery’s business platform, representing and selling Eurosport’s broadcast and digital assets to U.S.-based advertisers, and acting as the U.S. liaison for Eurosport’s sales teams based in London and Paris. He will also continue his current responsibility to represent Discovery’s int'l ad sales out of the U.S. as well as integrated ad sales for the Latin America region (Discovery). ... The Amateur Int'l Boxing Association appointed DAVID GOUGH as CEO of its global marketing company, the Boxing Marketing Arm. Gough "has significant experience in world-class sponsorship sales, sports marketing and commercial partnership having previously worked for IMG and Coca-Cola" (AIBA).
